Hello young adventurers!

The journey is about to begin!  These final weeks getting ready have been CRAZY!  Since school ended back in June, I have been to New York City, Atlanta, Georgia, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Holden Beach, NC.  Somehow, while traveling to all these places, I managed to get all my shots, say goodbye to all my friends and family, buy an amazing new travel backpack (which is my new home!), and get everything organized and lined up for the adventure.

You never realize how much work goes into something like this until you do it, but here’s what’s really cool about that- if it’s your dream, none of it ever feels like work.  Tomorrow, I’ll post more about what’s coming with me across the world, but for now I’ll share a quick snapshot of this summer’s adventures.

The first stop was one of my favorite cities in the world- New York City.   My mom and I got to go together which made it extra fun, and we saw Frozen on Broadway!

After NYC, I moved out of my apartment and headed to Georgia to work with Camp Twitch and Shout!  It was another incredible year with those kids, and we had a blast!

After leaving Georgia, I had a chance to go to Utah and do some hiking and spend time with my brother and sister-in-law, and my favorite little adventurer on the planet- my niece, Lucy,!

I then got some time to spend some quality time at Surfside Beach, SC and Holden Beach, NC with my family before I left.

After that, I left the beach to come back to High Point and say my final goodbyes and get everything set for the big flight out to The Netherlands!

It still feels like the school year just ended.  This summer has blown by, and I can’t still believe the big day is only 2 days away!. Tomorrow I’ll share what’s coming with me, and give you a glimpse of what my life is going to be like over the next 11 months.
